    STIHL Easy2Start™ (E)
The STIHL Easy2Start™ system makes starting STIHL outdoor power tools almost effortless, eliminating the need for a strong pull of the starting cord. This advanced starting system is designed to make starting STIHL products easier. The specific system may vary by model, but in each case, a quick pull overcomes the engine’s compression to minimize the strength and effort required to start. Available on selected products.

    IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor
The IntelliCarb™ Compensating Carburetor is designed to automatically adjust the air/fuel ratio when the air filter becomes restricted or partially clogged and maintains the engine’s correct RPM. IntelliCarb™ uses air from the clean side of the air filter to control the diaphragm and flow of fuel. As the air filter becomes dirty and less air is available for the carburetor, the IntelliCarb™ system adjusts the fuel flow to compensate for the decrease in air flow. This is in contrast to typical carburetors that utilize this air from the “dirty” side of the air box.
  • Zoom
    Purge Pump Primer
The purge pump primer feature enables the user to prime the carburetor with fuel, enabling easier starting. The purge pump primer is designed in a way that the operator cannot flood the machine by priming the carburetor too many times. Flooding the engine is still possible if the choke is not removed after the engine turns over.

Important Information
WARNING! The occurrence called “kickback” can cause serious or fatal injury. Always read the instruction manual carefully before using your saw. STIHL uses a green and yellow color-coding system to help you select a powerhead, bar and chain combination that complies with the kickback requirements of ANSI Standard B175.1 (gasoline-powered saws) and §30 of UL 1662/ ANSI Standard B175.1 (electric chain saws). Ask your STIHL dealer about safe operating procedures and the advantages of the STIHL Quickstop® chain brake, STIHL Quickstop® Plus additional chain braking feature (Q), STIHL reduced kickback bars and STIHL low-kickback saw chains.

STIHL recommends the use of green reduced kickback bars and green low kickback chains on all STIHL chain saws.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Greta Top Handle Saw I bought this saw to have a smaller top handle saw to work in trees and also cut smaller brush into fire wood. It is a light weight dependable saw that is very easy to start and use for extended periods of time without fatigue. It does a fine job in smaller size wood and is a good deal for the price. Rated 5 out of 5 by Let your neighbors buy the big ones Most people I know have a large saw that is readily available when I need it, but no one has a lightweight, powerful saw like this which is perfect for limbing out downed trees quickly and safely. We get frequent straight line winds and tornadic activity and that provides lots of opportunities for limbing out trees. If you have never used a top handle saw for jobs while elevated or grounded, be prepared for the difference. Perfect for use while in tree as well working in right spaces. Super easy start which is a plus for pulling while suspended or elevated. March 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great value Don't let the displacement fool you this little saw is powerful. The STIHL MS 192TC-E is a light weight top handle chainsaw. I have so far ran roughly 4 gallons of 93 octane with STIHL HP oil, grey bottle, through it and so far have not had a single problem. Due to its small fuel tank, 9.1 OZ, you will find yourself refueling about every 20 minutes of continual use on the ground such as cutting firewood. If you are in the tree ,like it was designed for, you may get a whole tree pruned I'm not sure I only pruned a spruce tree and raised the bottom branches about 30 or 40 feet took me about 45 minutes and still had about half a tank. Its weight, 8lbs with chain, bar, fuel, and oil, but feels more like 6lbs and is a lot nicer to carry around than a rear handle saw such as the ms250. The saw features an easy to start feature which makes the saw truly easier to start, but all it does is cut down on the force needed to turn over the saw. The saw starts very easily ,when the engine is cold, usually on the first couple pulls. Since the saw is a top handle it is very well balanced and has a small bar, you have a great amount of control with one hand and even more with two in or out of the tree. I have only one complaint, the saws outer shell including the sprocket and clutch cover, top and side handle, chain brake, bottom plate, as well as the fuel and bar oil are all completely plastic or ABS, but if they were metal it would add another pound or so to the total weight of the saw.All in All the STIHL MS 192TC-E is a well engineered product and would highly recommend it to anybody from homeowners to foresters. Also would recommend the 14" bar instead of the 12". February 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by light weight powerhouse read a few bad reviews bought it anyway. very light nimble little beast very easy on gas. wish I had one when I was climbing. power to weight I would call it a micro ms460 perfect trimsaw to go with my 026 and 460 also great for small firewood. anyone on the fence don't hesitate just go get one you will love it February 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Saw for the Rancher Picked this saw up a few months back and could not be happier. All my other Stihl saws are great but this one is worth its weight in gold. One hand operation is a snap clearing fence lines. If I had to buy just one saw, this would be it...... February 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great climb saw As the owner of a newly established tree removal company I depend on my saws. I need something that will get the job done safely, efficiently, and not cost an arm and a leg. This saw is light, has great power compared to its size, feels great to use, and is a great value for the cost. I was very pleased using it all day, even in big oak removals. This saw is great for it all and is not just a pruning saw. I recommend it for anyone who climbs and wants a light saw to conserve energy and still cut Great. If I could change anything, it would be the attachment point for the saw lanyard. I've already slightly bent mine and I don't drop it. February 16, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice little saw.. I bought my MS192 at Farm and Home Supply during their Thanksgiving sale (20% off). This is basically the only sale I have ever seen on Stihl saws. It's a nice little lightweight saw. I mainly bought it to use at heights cutting beams/boards when taking down old barns. It is easy to handle/maneuver but when it comes to cutting 150yr old oak 8x8 beams, my MS250 works a lot better. Would I recommend it to anyone else, why yes because this is one of my 4 Stihl chainsaw and I like them all. February 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Saw - Reasonable Expectations Required I purchased this saw for in-tree use in support of tree removals. The saw did not live up to my original expectations, but mostly because my original expectations for this saw were simply unrealistic. My personal preconceptions aside, the following things can be said of this saw:The MS-192T is very light weight and balanced, it provides good control when used aloft with a long reach or in what would otherwise be an awkward position. With the Easy Start system the saw starts effortlessly and reliably even when cold. This is especially beneficial when trying to start the saw up in the tree under less than ideal conditions. The MS-192T provides sufficient power for pruning and light removal efforts, cutting effectively up to perhaps 6" diameter limbs with ease. In thick/ hard wood the saw begins to cut rather slowly. Using a thin-kerf bar and chain (0.043" Gauge) seems to speed up the cut slightly compared to the 0.050" bar and chain, but not enough to make an appreciable difference in the larger stuff. The slow cutting speed might be tolerable if you are leisurely piecing out small sections in larger wood, but becomes a bit problematic when dropping heavy and/or hard leaning limbs in their entirety. The dogs on the MS-192T are merely little plastic teeth molded into the case of the saw, which is a bit disappointing but probably doesn't matter as you wont be able to dog the saw hard into the cut without bogging down the engine anyhow.Given the lower weight and price tag as compared to the MS-201T, the MS-192T is perfect for light removals, but for taking down larger limbs the MS-201T would be the better choice. Or better yet just purchase both and use them to their respective strengths. February 10, 2015
